Eldritch Dice Tower

dice tower

I found this over at Board Game Geeks. It is essentially a dice tower for Arkham Horror. It is very simply to construct. I have already built mine and am waiting for the paint and glue to dry...

I printed the pdf onto regular paper, then cut out the templates. I used these to trace the various sections of the tower onto 5mm white foam, which I then cut out with a razor knife. To put the foam board together, I used super glue, but strengthened the tower with three 25mm flat-head sewing pins to better hold each section. I then secured it to a base of the same foam. For the ramps inside the tower and the bottom of the dice tray, i opted to afix red construction paper to them for a better visual effect.

Once it was dry, I spray-painted the tower (inside and out) with black paint. I only have to glue on the decorative paper included with the pdf with simple white glue!

Investigator Play Mat

play mat

This is a very nice Investigator's play mat that I discovered over at Board Game Geeks. Simply click on the picture to the right and it will display a high-quality image you can then save to your computer for printing. I suggest to print the mat on card stock paper, or print in onto regular paper and then glue it to a more firm paper for use.

"West of Arkham the hills rise wild, and there are valleys with deep woods that no axe has ever cut. There are dark narrow glens where the trees slope fantastically, and where thin brooklets trickle without ever having caught the glint of sunlight. On the gentler slopes there are farms, ancient and rocky, with squat, moss-coated cottages brooding eternally over old New England secrets in the lee of great ledges; but these are all vacant now, the wide chimneys crumbling and the shingled sides bulging perilously beneath low gambrel roofs."
